The talents nobody ever asks for
So many creative people have talents that are never asked for. A Curator who asks by name, a call with a real constraint, and a date can change that.
So many creative people have talents and interests that nobody ever asks for. I think most communities hold more makers than they know about.
A great deal of talent is lost to the world for want of a little courage.
In IntentSpring, a Curator does the asking. They pick a theme with a constraint, open calls for one thing each, and ask makers by name, including people who would never volunteer. A maker can say not this time, and the Curator asks someone else.
Next to the commons sits a private practice for anyone reaching for something. Only its owner can open it, and there are no streaks to keep. I also believe a practice like meditation goes deeper with a story or an image beside it, so a member can ask for a guided script written for their own intention, or open a personal call and ask a maker for something made just for them.
What if more of the posters, plays and songs I see at our family parties got made in more places, because someone asked?
